Understanding Nature's Product Leather is a fibrous material woven by nature in a way no man made fabric can produce. The special characteristics of each type of hide will influence they ways in which the hides are chosen and used.
Hides may possess natural markings such as neck wrinkles, belly wrinkles, bites or scratches. These natural markings contribute to the beauty of pure aniline dyed leathers. Those markings that are not desirable are taken into consideration when using the formula converting textiles into leather (18 x COM).
Most Keleen leathers come from Northern Europe which is a more temperate climate zone. These hides possess fewer bites and many are wintered indoors.
Hides are a product of nature and no two hides can be identical. For upholstery use certain breeds are used for maximum yield.
