This new leather from Keleen is unlike ANY OTHER leather out there.  There are many leathers calling themselves “green” today, but out is the only one that is truly safe for the environment and for your health.  DO NOT be fooled, ours is the ONLY ONE.

We are using the highest sustainable practices anywhere to create the highest, natural quality hides ever seen.  These practices are not inexpensive and we cannot hide that fact, but we believe that clients who understand them will appreciate them.

The main difference in our leathers (and reason that they may not be for everyone) lies in the fact that after tanning they remain unsealed.  The surface remains natural and open.  Most other so-called “green” leathers will have a chrome-free tannage, but are then coated in environmentally toxic plastic type coatings that may be detrimental to our health thus making the product no longer green!

Hides are derived from full life; free-range grass fed Alpine dairy cows.

Hides are never salted, but sent to the tannery on ice.

Vegetable tanned- ALL CHROME-FREE.

Dyed colors utilize safest materials on the market, non heavy metal 7 low VOC dyes.

Tannery site has been tested for no chemical traces.

Leather is perfect for allergy prone people- PERFECTLY SAFE.

Hides are not modified- each hide surface is a signature of nature.

These hides provide a natural, breathable surface with a soft hand.

Hides have NO CHEMICAL ODORS for the best indoor air quality.

100 % Biodegradable.

1.4-1.6 mm thick with a weight of 4 oz per ft.  The hides average 60 SF and pass UFAC + CAL TB 117.

Tanning uses half the water of conventional chrome leather & the water used is processed to the highest standards & returned to the water system where it is constantly monitored.
